Heartstrings is a multimedia game experience inspired by music therapy, more specifically the guided imagery practice that some use. There is a strong correlation between the tempo and the human heartbeat. It shows that the heart syncs up to the tempo of the song that you are listening to and that there is optimal bpm for certain emotions. Thus, music may have a therapeutic effect to counter a person suffering from anxiety and tension.

This is an interactive game used to experience the effects that music can have on their heart and mind. This multimedia game utilizes cards, QR codes, and an app that allows the players to use codes to direct them to the emotions that they want to feel or enhance. The QR codes will lead the users to specific playlists that play songs in a specialized BMP to match their heartbeats to lift, calm, etc. their mood. The cards are used to have guiding questions for the user.
